Step 3: The Escrow Period

This is the third of seven videos taking you step by step through the home buying process. In this video, we learn about The Escrow Period. This is the time between signing the contract for a new home and closing on the home. In this time, the Title Company is busy researching the title, calculating taxes, fees and other closing costs and the mortgage lender is busy taking the final steps to approving the buyer for the loan and having the home appraised to make sure it can qualify as sufficient collateral.
